Product Manager - Paris
The product
GP is NeoXam's back-office platform for the administrative and accounting management of investment portfolios — mutual and alternative funds (including private asset funds, debt funds, hedge funds, real estate and securitisation) and insurance portfolios — for asset managers, asset servicers and asset owners alike.
GP is known for its flexibility, native multi-GAAP and multi-business capabilities, regulatory expertise, reliability and functional depth — built to serve this full range of fund types, asset classes and client profiles from a single platform.
Why we are hiring ?
GP leads its European market and is in the middle of a deliberate transformation. The next three years decide how far the product travels internationally, and how it is delivered, packaged and consumed.
Open new markets and new GAAPs, with everything their local specificities imply
Evolve the business model around AI usage and new capabilities
Arbitrate and coordinate platform continuous modernisation — new UX, web client, new automation engine, customisable reporting, AI integration, and continued growth of container-native and NeoXam-hosted (NxAaS) deployments — leveraging NeoXam's wider asset base and cross-product synergies
Prepare the technical future — coordinating with platform engineering on AI-augmented development, AI-powered testing, and product documentation and knowledge management at the scale of an exceptionally broad functional coverage
We are looking for the Product Manager who will own GP's functional product line end to end, and make those trade-offs explicit, defensible and delivered.
What you will own
Vision and roadmap for GP's functional line — regulatory coverage, calculation logic, business modules — across all module packs, arbitrated against platform modernisation, security and maintenance needs coordinated with platform engineering
Discovery with a community of very engaged clients. You will run client governance, product reviews and thought leadership committees directly with them
The standard-versus-bespoke line — what becomes product, what stays a client-specific development, and how specific developments are converged back into the standard
Packaging, module scope and commercial enablement — with Sales, Presales and Professional Services: what is sold, what is activated, and what it is worth
Regulatory and compliance intake — turning jurisdictional and regulatory change into a prioritised, dated, communicated roadmap
Migration and adoption programmes — managing a migration as a product owner is as much about client sequencing and incentives as about features
Backlog and delivery with the squads — writing and defending specifications, running prioritisation with Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and QA across France and Tunisia
Product KPIs and evidence — GP is tracked against a formal R&D engineering maturity framework (documentation, coverage, regression, security, scalability, maintenance, investment allocation). You will own the product-side targets within it, and the artefacts used in client and investor due diligence
Essential skills and experience
Investment accounting and fund administration domain depth
7–10 years in financial software, with hands-on knowledge of back-office operations: NAV production, portfolio valuation, P&L, accounting entries, corporate actions or regulatory reporting. You do not need to have written the rules, but you must be able to hold a functional discussion with a fund accountant or a back-office officer without an interpreter.Regulatory and multi-jurisdiction product thinking
You are comfortable owning a backlog where a legal deadline is non-negotiable, and where the same functional need has several local variants.Delivering functional and regulatory change end to end
You have taken at least one major functional or regulatory programme — a new calculation engine, a new GAAP, a regulatory-driven overhaul — from specification through to live client adoption, not just to sign-off.Executive and client-facing communication
You will present GP to client executive committees, to internal governance and in due diligence contexts — in both French and English.
Essential soft skills
Thriving in a fast-moving, mid-sized environment
NeoXam is a mid-sized company where decisions happen fast, and that shapes the job. NeoXam's module portfolio is broad and continuously evolving, and you need the pragmatism to decide rather than arbitrate forever. Many of us push the same topics forward at once, so coordination is not a nice-to-have — it is most of the work.Agile delivery with distributed teams
Scrum at scale, Jira, squads split across countries and across several NeoXam technical and product teams. Written clarity, PMO discipline and the ability to run a hands-on demo yourself are core skills here, not optional extras.
Valuable, not required
Leading a platform or infrastructure transition (version convergence, on-premise to cloud, container-native)
Reconciliation, exception management or data quality products
Data warehouse and reporting products for finance
AI-assisted engineering or AI-assisted code transformation in a product context
What we are not looking for
A pure delivery or project manager, or a PM whose experience is entirely consumer or high-velocity SaaS. We need domain depth and long-horizon judgement more than release throughput.
If you've never held the title "Product Manager" but have shaped functional or regulatory decisions from inside a finance software business — as a technical-sales lead, a functional consultant, or embedded within a product team — we'd like to hear from you.
